Many of the paintings use recycled materials:

  • paper
  • papyrus
  • semi-precious stones from vintage jewelry
I make a point of declining plastic bags when purchasing supplies (I bring my own cloth bags) and recycling where possible all of the packaging materials that the supplies come in (i.e.: plastic, cans, scrap paper, and other recyclable materials).

I am also extremely mindful of water consumption and its use to clean brushes and art tools. I use recycled water to clean all brushes, and do it in the yard so the grass absorbs the excess water.

In the work we do and in our homes we can all make wise choices to protect our fragile environment. The choices are always ours.
